Young Leader Online Training
Welcome to Dudley’s Young Leader online training hub.
Here, you will be able to complete modules online by learning practical and transferrable skills, processes and the principles of leadership. You can also complete activities and submit your evidence. The only modules not available online are modules A & K. It is also highly recommended that are completed along side a section leader with a Witness Statement.
Introduction to online training
Dudley’s vision is to make Young Leader training more accessible so that more young people can gain the YL award and feel supported in doing so. Our goal is to increase the number of Young Leader Belts being awarded by ensuring Young Leaders are being given a quality experience.
Below, we have set out 9 of the 11 modules required to achieve your Young Leader Belt award, along with the missions. Modules A and K include safeguarding and first aid and therefore must be completed face-to-face delivered by the District 14-25 team. You can complete all other modules using this online system.
Thanks to Diane Blurton @ Cheshire scouts who created this in conjunction with Scouts Scotland and allowed up to use this.
How do I complete a module or mission?
- Click on a button below to open a module or mission. You should then read the information thoroughly and complete ALL activities given on the page. You should record your answers to each activity on a typed or handwritten document.
- After completing the online module or delivering the mission activity, you need to submit a completion form. To finish, all you need to do is submit your evidence of completing the activities. This can be done by uploading or emailing your documents or pieces of evidence via email to the 14-25 Team.
For any further information or assistance, you can contact the 14-25 Team:
