Good Evening Everyone,

Applications have now closed for the YOU West Midlands Youth Council 2025 but we still need your help. Voting has now opened for young people ages 10-21 to vote for the young people they feel will best represent their voices over the next council year.  As there were no applications from the Army Cadets we will be looking to host Bi-Elections in the Autumn Term (more details at the end of this email) however we would ask that you still encourage your young people to partake in the voting for this election.

How to Vote: 

1. View all of the candidate’s campaign messages considering the positive qualities you may look for in an advocate. Passion? Problem solving? Positivity? You can click here to access the election portal: https://bit.ly/YOUWM_YouthCouncil25Campaigns
2. Open the voting form:https://bit.ly/YouthCouncilB25VoteHere, you can submit one form per individual and personal details as well as unit details will be noted. Any voting discrepancies will be noted and may result in the voting period having to be restarted or individuals being withdrawn from the elections.

Voting Rules and Eligibility: 

To be eligible to vote you must:

1. Be a member of a partnering Uniformed Youth Organisation in the YOU West Midlands Geography ( Birmingham, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull , Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry)
2. Be between the ages of 10-21 years old
3. Young People who have applied for the youth council roles are eligible to vote for themselves

Individuals with the most votes will be invited onto the council via email once the voting period has closed, unsuccessful applicants will be supported to explore alternative opportunities and apply for other personal development pathways.
