Kandersteg 2026

Hi all,

Here’s information for our planned Adventure to Kandersteg 2026. We are sending a targeted email to all Scout/Explorer adults in the district. We’ll also be posting on Facebook and the District Website. There’s a short application window which closes 30th August 2024. Can you please therefore share this information with any leaders who work/have worked/are interested in working with Explorers who may be interested in applying when we look for participants. Thanks for your support.

Are you working with Explorers or Older Scouts, and would like to help make a difference in the section by being part of the leadership team taking Explorers on the first District led visit abroad? If you’ve answered ‘Yes’ this could be an opportunity for you.

We are planning a District Explorer International experience in July/August 2026 to Kandersteg and are looking to recruit 4 leaders to join and form the leadership team. The format of the event will be an unforgettable activity week.

Late 2024 we will then look to build the Scouts/Explorer Members of the experience.

If you would like to be part of the team, please submit an email Application by 30th August 2024 providing, Name, Short Bio of Experience, Group, Email and Phone Number.

Also, If you have a passport, are able to book the time off work and can commit to the fundraising/costs involved.

To set expectations we expect a cost of around £1000 from previous endeavours and experience and experience has shown that it is possible to fundraise and grant this in its entirety.

We will also have the opportunity to award a special badge to participants.
