Scouts Transformation

Date: 6th Jan 2024 Author: districtteam

Happy New Year,

All GSLS should have received an invite to the County Transformation Day.

Please ensure each group has a readiness checkless completed in preparation: Readiness checklist | Scouts

In relation to any changes at district level, they will all be advertised here on the District Website.

We will communicate out as and when we know more and if anything changes.

We still expect this to take place in April 2024.

As such we are going to look to ensure that everything is in place locally as best as we can get it by mid February.

-All groups will need to bring Readiness checklist with them to the county Transformation Day

-As part of the district Actions for the district Readiness here are our Notes as of today.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
