Dudley District Explorers attending Poland WSJ 2027

Date: 15th Jan 2026 Author: districtteam

I apologise that this wasn’t shared as soon as selection was confirmed; here are the seven young people from Dudley who are attending the WSJ 2027 in Poland.

Dudley District Explorers:

Euan and Ammar – West
Lily, Skyleigh, Freya, Brockton and Henrietta – Beacon

They have received a 20% donation towards their international WSJ funding as per the district policy.

We wish them every success as they begin what will undoubtedly be the journey of a lifetime. The WSJ is a rare opportunity that shapes confidence, independence and global awareness, and they should be incredibly proud of reaching this stage.

A special mention must also go to the gruelling selection weekend they completed. It demanded resilience, teamwork and determination, and each of them rose to the challenge brilliantly.

Of course, we also want to acknowledge those who were not selected this time. The standard was exceptionally high, and their effort, enthusiasm and commitment were deeply valued. We hope they continue to pursue future international and high‑adventure opportunities within Scouting.
